Connie took her heavenly flight Saturday, Oct. 2 surrounded by her family whom she dearly loved. She was 80 years old. She was the daughter of the late Minnie Adelaide Tyler and James Carnie (JC) Morrison of Jones County. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sylvia (Syb) Pry.

Connie was married to the love of her life, Jack “Wayne” Moorman for 28 years. They lived a life full of camping and travel right up to their later years. She was the best cook and hostess and you never left her house hungry! She taught her girls and grandchildren what unconditional Love was! Most importantly she taught them to love Jesus!

Along with Wayne, she is survived by her daughters, Theresa (Randy) Cantrell , Tina Hodges, and Genine (Mike) Tucker; and step-daughters, Christy Moorman and Lea Moorman. She was Grandma to five grandchildren, Gabe (Allison) Stewart, Christy (Ryan) Purvis, Brittany (Coleman) Almand, Crystal (Matt) Vaughn, Brandon Tucker, and her God-son, Dr. Tony (Wendy) Farmer. She was Great-Grandma to five great-grandchildren, Kyndell Stewart, Carson Vaughn, Isla Stewart, Wade Vaughn, and Owen Purvis. She was anxiously awaiting the arrival of greatgrand number six, Jackson Purvis.

She is also survived by two sisters, Sandra Daniels and Bobbie (James) Hutto and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She was a member of Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church for many years. She also served as Church Hostess for Family Night suppers at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Bolingbroke.

The family received friends Tuesday, Oct.5, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
