COVID-19 business updates

CHECK WITH BUSINESSES FOR MORE UPDATES BY PHONE AS CIRCUMSTANCES ARE CONSTANTLY CHANGING.

Government offices:

• City Hall/ Water Department are closed to the public. Water payments can be submitted in the dropbox at City Hall and they will be checking it throughout the day. Payments can also be made online at www.grayga. us. Their phone number is 986-5433.

• Gray Police Department is closed to the public. Their phone number is 986-5554.

• Municipal Court is closed to the public. They can be reached at 986-5431 for questions or you may pay your ticket online at https://grayga.us/municipal-court/.

• The Government Center is closed down until further notice to the public. The 4-H staff will be working remotely from home and in the office, but only employees will be allowed in the building. With the school out until March 31 in accordance to Governor Kemp’s mandate they will not have any 4-H practices, activities or events. • Jones County Library is closed until April 1.

Grocery stores:

• C & J’s Supermarket - closing at 7 p.m. nightly

• Ingles - Beginning March 24 until further notice, Tuesday and Wednesday, 7-8 a.m. will be dedicated to senior shoppers, first responders, and those with compromised immune systems. Effective March 23, store hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Product returns are temporarily suspended during the COVID-19 concern.

• Harvey’s - For the foreseeable future, the store will dedicate the hours of 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., Monday through Friday to seniors and those most at risk for COVID-19.

Utilities:

• Tri-County EMC is drive-thru only. Their lobby is closed.

Pharmacies:

• Hometown Pharmacy is drive-thru only and no longer handling Rx vials from patients. Please call in refills a day ahead at 986-4827.

Nursing homes:

• Autumn Lane is restricting all non-essential visitation until further notice.

• Lynn Haven is restricting all non-essential visitation until further notice.

• Stone Brooke Suites Senior Living is restricting all non-essential visitation until further notice.

Doctors’ Offices:

• Sanchez and Craig is closed March 23-26. If you have an orthodontic emergency, please contact them at 452-7441. Dr. Craig can be reached on her cell at 404-859-6072.

• Gray Family Health/Dr. Arnold is open, but please wear a mask if you have a fever. They are now offering Tele-Med web office visits. Please call the office at 986-4743.

• Gray Dental Associates - Open for emergencies and treatment only. Please call the office if you have a dental issue at 986-6821.

• Dr. Kenneth Kay - Open for emergencies only from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Call the office if you have a dental issue at 986-1830.

Gyms:

• Elite Fitness has cancelled all classes and their daycare is closed until further notice.

Churches:

• First Baptist Church of Gray Wednesday and Sunday services have been cancelled this week. Sunday morning services live streamed

• Gray United Methodist Church has cancelled all services, meetings, events, and activities for the month of March. They will be streaming Sunday morning services online.

• Haddock Baptist Church has cancelled all church gatherings until April 1. They will be streaming on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings.

• Encounter Church has cancelled all church services this week.

• Greenwood Baptist Church has cancelled all services through March 28.

• Elam Baptist Church is following the CDC recommendations on a weekly basis.

• Mt. Horeb Church will be meeting together to pray from II Chronicles 7:14, led by Pastor Fahor Richardson beginning at 6:00 p.m. every day.

• New Salem Baptist Church and Gray Tabernacle live streamed 11 a.m. Sundays

• Central Baptist sermons posted on web page

Banks:

• Cadence Bank is drive-thru only. Lobby by appointment only. They are closed Saturdays.

• Morris Bank is drive-thru only. Customers are encouraged to call 888-272-5202 if they need to set up private appointments.

• Exchange Bank is drive-thru only. If an appointment is needed, please call 986-1800 to make an appointment.

• Robins Financial Credit Union is drive-thru only. Their call center will remain open, but please anticipate longer than normal wait times.

• Magnolia State Bank - Lobby closed. Will see clients with appointments. Drive-thru open.

Restaurants:

• McDonald’s is drive-thru only

• Zaxby’s is drive-thru only

• Agave Azul will bring to-go orders out to your car. They can be reached at 936-0067. Dining in is limited at this time. Trivia is temporarily cancelled.

• Sawmill Restaurant orders can be called in to 221-3142.

• Jalapenos Cantina has to-go orders available for pickup. They will meet you at the door. They can be reached at 221-3261. Dining is still available at this time. Trivia is temporarily cancelled.

• El Sombrero will offer to-go orders only.

• Old Clinton BBQ still has dining in available. You can order over the phone and come in to pick it up or they will bring it to your car.

• Treasures by the Tracks has dining available.

• Chevy’s Pizza has dining available or curbside pickup.

• I Love Country Buffet - Business as usual for now.

• Dairy Queen is business as usual.

• Grubb & Stuff - Will open 11 a.m. until 7 p.m., starting Wednesday. Curbside delivery. Please call in your order at 318-5167.

Retail Locations:

• Ace Hardware – Orders may be called in and either picked up at the front registers or they will meet you in the parking lot. For any information, please call the store at 986-9200.

• Paul Sheets State Farm Insurance – Open for telephone business only beginning at 9:00 a.m. Paperwork or payments can be dropped in their mail slot for prompt handling.

• Jena Carr Alfa Insurance has added a payment dropbox to the outside of their office. You will be able to drop your payments off. The office is not open to the public.

• Vy’s Nails is closed through April 1.

• Color and Style Salon is closed indefinitely.

• Gray-8-Skate is closed until further notice.

• Gadd’s Animal Doctors of Gray - Limiting waiting area to a maximum of four people. Please check their Facebook page for updates.

• Roberts and Son Propane - Although their lobby is closed, they remain open. Their business hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. They have a drop box system for payments and they are there to fill cylinders. All other needs, call us at 452-0514.

• Miss Dottie’s - Currently closed until further notice. Still continuing to ship orders. Please call the store for more information at 986-4270.

• Raffield Tire - Business as usual, but taking all necessary precautions.

• Hamrick Building Supply - Call orders in to 986-6380 and they will bring out to your vehicle.

• Sonrise Ministires Thrift Store - Closed until further notice.

• Vaporized of Gray - Open normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Only two customers in store at a time. No vaping in the store. Testing station is closed. Will deliver items to your car. Call ahead for order at 936-0099.

Funeral Homes

• Harts Mortuary - In an effort to comply with “15 days to slow the spread,” they will have no more than 10 people at a service, all services will be outdoors and strictly private with the option of complimentary on-site video streaming. For a private viewing, no more than two people will be able to view at a time. Families that choose to hold a private service at this time will have the option to hold a public memorial service at a later date; for these families, they will waive the memorial service fee.

• Gray Memorial Chapel - Private visitations and funeral services with online streaming until further notice. Services can be scheduled once the threat has passed, if the family wishes. They have increased our facility’s cleaning procedures and will continue to provide a healthy and clean environment for those they serve.

Clubs:

• The Rotary Club meeting is canceled.

• The Kiwainis Club meeting is canceled.

• The Jones County Lions Club meeting is canceled.

Schools and daycares:

• All schools in the Jones County school system are closed until further notice.

• Children’s Delight is currently closed until March 27. They will make decisions on a week-by-week basis.

Other:

• Visit kngdelivery.com to have local restaurants delivered to your door. There is a ‘no contact delivery/leave at door’ option.

• Team Sports - Batting cages are currently closed. Open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. until further notice. Subject to change. Please call the store at 741-9677. They are operating on a day-to-day basis.

• Watson Plumbing - Business as usual for now. Taking all necessary precautions.
