JONES COUNTY: Donald E. “Duck” Parker, 60, of Georgia Highway 22, East, died Saturday, Feb. 29, at his residence. The family greeted friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:0 0 p.m., Thursday, March 4, at Gray Memorial Chapel in Gray. Funeral services followed in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 p.m.. Rev. Dylan Bowden officiated.

Mr. Parker was born May19, 1959, in Milledgeville and had lived in Jones County for most of his life. He was the son of the late James “Snutts” Parker and Betty Pounds Parker. He was a self proclaimed “Jack of all Trades, and Master of None.” He had a true giver’s spirit and was known to help anyone in need. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Parker and Clarence Parker and a sister, Carolyn Youmans.

Mr. Parker is survived by his wife of 18 years, Deborah Parker; children, Amanda Parker; step-children, Kimberly (Brian) Holland and Kevin Johnson; grandchildren, Cadence Todd, Arya Holland, Thomas Kent, and Jaxson Howard; brothers, Johnny (Sarah) Parker Sr.; sisters, Mary Helen Parker and Emma Lou Parker; and nephews, Raymond Parker and Johnny Parker Jr.
