Elaine Newman Turner

Mrs. Elaine Newman Turner, age 71, passed away on Nov. 20. Mrs. Turner was a native of Putnam County and had made her home in Jones County for most of her life. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Patrick Wayne Turner; her parents, John Hubert Newman and Thelma Reddick Newman; grandchild, Turner Dawson Davis; and sisters, Ellen Gray and Frances Haddock.

Mrs. Turner was retired, she lived for her children and grandchildren, she didn’t take in stray dogs, she took in stray people, she loved to fish, loved music and was a member of Wheeler Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children; Tiffany (Todd) Robertson - Beasley, Sherry Ann (Jay) Davis, and Bo (Heather) Turner, all of Jones County; grandchildren, Dalton Blaine Davis, Jacob Cole Beasley, Ali Madison Turner, and Peyton Lane Beasley; and several nephews.

Services will be private but family can be contacted at their homes.
