Hester Grantham Radford

Hester Grantham Radford, 51, of Jones County, died Sunday, Aug. 22. The family greeted friends Wednesday, Aug.25, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to All About Animals, P.O. Box 4331, Macon, GA 31208.

Hester was wise, talented, funny, generous, and loved to help people. She played the piano for several churches and was youth director at several churches. A hard worker, she attended Bible College and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in medical technology. Hester was a 1987 graduate of First Presbyterian Day School. She was a polysomnographic technician. Hester was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Carlos Gregory Grantham.

Hester is survived by her husband, Jon Radford of Macon; daughter, Brooke Butler of Gray; son, Greg (Morgan) Maharrey of Arkansas; grandchildren, Nathan Bonner, Gracelynn Hagans, Lily Hagans, and Boone Harrell; mother, Vickie Grantham of Gray; brothers, Dan (Staci) Grantham of Gray, Carl Grantham of Gray, and Sam (Cherie) Grantham of Macon; nieces and nephews, Byron Grantham, Gary Grantham, and Joshua May; and mother-in-law, Mary Radford of Milledgeville.
