Janet Bullard Marchman, 70, went to be with the Lord, on Friday, Nov. 2, surrounded by her family and friends. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home. Rev. Randy Darnell officiated. Burial followed at Baldwin Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Janet was born in Bladenboro, NC to the late Purdie and Letha Bullard. She graduated Valedictorian of Bladenboro High School, received her undergraduate from Appalachian State University and her master’s from the University of Georgia.
Mrs. Janet was a retired special education teacher. She taught for over 34 years and retired to keep her grandson Will, whom she loved. She was lovingly known as “Duck”. She was a member of the Pilot Club in Jones County. Mrs. Janet was an active member of First Baptist Church in Gray and loved her Sunday School class and many special friends. She was the best “Coach’s Wife”, always on the sideline of a football game, and she was the very best mother and Duck. She will be greatly missed.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband of 44 years, Samuel Don Marchman, her only daughter, Lindsay Marchman Rozier, and her only grandson, Will Rozier. She is survived by her sister Polly (Gerald) Cox, and her nephew and niece Glenn and Brandi.
The family received friends Tuesday November 6, from 1:30 until 2:30 prior to the funeral service.
