Jones County senior Lu Woolfolk and freshman Jada Morgan were named to the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association’s south girls’ all-state team for Class 5A, and senior Bryson Wooten was named to the boys’ team, it was announced last week.

Woolfolk was also girls’ co-player of the year in Region 4-5A this season, and Morgan was named to the all-region first team.

Seniors Madison Bennett, Toree Smith and Courtney Wimberly were honorable mention.

The Lady Hounds made it to the state quarterfinals this season.

The Greyhounds advanced to the state playoffs for the first time in three years.

Wooten was first team all-region, senior Chavis Mathis was second team, and senior Joe Jackson was honorable mention.
