The Jones County Board of Commissioners had a called meeting March 20 and passed a resolution to declare a Public Health Emergency for the county.
What that means for the public is, as of March 23, public access is restricted to all county buildings and properties. County employees will still be reporting to work and county services will continue with the exception of in person-services. When possible, those services will be performed on the telephone and online.
More details will be available in this week's edition of The Jones County News.
