MACON: LuElla Yopp, 86, of Tredway Drive, died Monday, Dec. 17, at her residence. The family greeted friends from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 22, at Greenwood Baptist Church. Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m., in the church sanctuary. Rev. Kim Washburn officiated. Interment at Middle Georgia Memory Gardens will be held privately at a later date.

Mrs. Yopp was born Feb. 20, 1932, in Blytheville, Arkansas and had lived in the middle Georgia area for the past 66 years. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Christopher Hopper and Fannie Estelle Givens Hopper. Mrs. Yopp was the retired owner of Yopp’s Daycare and was a devoted member of Greenwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Harold Yopp; son, Michael Harold Yopp Sr.; granddaughter, Jennifer “J.J.” Wilkerson Cheshire; and by three sisters, Thelma LaVerne Gorman, Alma Louise Ethridge, and her twin sister, LoVella Joiner.

Mrs. Yopp is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Deborah Lou Yopp Higgins and Lola Estelle Wilkerson and Steven Wilkerson; son and daughter-in-law, John Paul Yopp and Angela Yopp; 25 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Paul Joiner and 50 plus nieces and nephews throughout the United States.
