JONES COUNTY: Norma Suddeth, 91, of Highway 18 West, died Friday, Oct. 4, at a local hospital. The family greeted friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Monday, Oct. 7, at Gray Memorial Chapel and Crematory. Funeral services followed at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Tommy Freeman officiated.
Mrs. Suddeth was born Jan. 3, 1928, in Bibb County and had lived in Jones County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Hoke Wells and Nina Stirk Wells. Mrs. Suddeth was a homemaker and a member of Plentitude Baptist Church. She loved her country music and collecting various perfumes. Mrs. Suddeth was preceded in death by two husbands, Edwin Clem Jackson and Sid Albert Gordon; a son, Elton Gary Jackson; and a grandson, Vance Pope.
Mrs. Suddeth is survived by her daughter, Nina Jackson; sons, Edwin Darrell (Terry) Jackson; and Russell Todd (Meg) Gordon; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brothers, Richard Wells and Bob Neville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Plentitude Baptist Church, care of Mr. Bobby Nobles, 924 Howard Roberts Road, Gray, Georgia 31032.
