Mrs. Jackson was born Dec. 24,1937, in Harlem and had lived in Jones County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Marion and Ida Mae Whitaker. In her youth Mrs. Jackson was an avid runner and devoted participant in the Relay for Life. She accepted all who passed through her life with love and as an avid Georgia Tech fan, she graciously let the Dawg fans slide.
