Looking unto Jesus

We see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. (Hebrews 2:9) Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1-2)

The eternal son of God appeared on earth as Jesus, the man to provide a way of escape from bondage, access to God’s presence. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. Receive the rest found in Jesus, who has provided salvation by grace through faith, not works.
