With more than 20 young future Cheer Hounds taking part each day, the Jones County Cheerleaders once again hosted their annual Competition Cheer Kid Camp at the Cheer Factory on the JCHS campus.

Participants learned a cheer, dance, stunt and tumble during the two-day event that was led by the Jones County competition cheerleading coaching staff as well as some of the Cheer Hounds.

The event came on the back end of a busy summer for the JCHS cheerleading program that’ll lead right into the fall, where the competition season will return to its usual fall slot. The competition season’s first meet is Sept. 11, the first of four weekends in a row for both the varsity and middle school teams. Those other three meets are at Houston County, West Laurens and Northside. The region meet is Nov. 13 at Houston County with state competition set for Nov. 20 in Macon.
