Annette Morgan

GRAY:  Annette Morgan, a longtime resident of Gray, died at the age of 79 on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Statesboro after a long illness.  The family greeted friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday, at Bridges Funeral Home in Gray.  Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 28, in the sanctuary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gray, with interment at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Gray.

Annette was born on May 7, 1937, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Clifford and Arzella Jordan.  She spent her childhood in Waycross.  It was there that she met and married the love of her life, Johnny Morgan.  They were married for 57 years before he passed away in 2013.

Annette was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and some of her happiest times were spent at the meetinghouse in Gray.  Annette and Johnny are both remembered as being the owners of Morgan’s Minute Market in Macon.

She is survived by her children, Julie NeSmith (Billy), Jamie Barnes (Mike), Paul Morgan, John Morgan (Kim), and Marianne Kimes (Marcus); 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
