Barbee elected mayor; Clark elected mayor pro tem; Tufts keeps council set

Voters in the City of Gray selected a new mayor and mayor pro tem and re-elected a long serving incumbent.

Ed Barbee defeated James Collins 266 to 158 to become the new Mayor of Gray, Kema Greene Clark won over Ken Tapee 307 to 118 to become the city’s new Mayor Pro Tem and David Tufts held onto his District 1 council seat over challenger Rick Tipton by a vote of 101 to 65.

Councilman Benny Gray of District 2, Terrell Fulford of District 3, and Terry Favors of District 4 were not opposed.
