Ethan Oulsnam signs in soccer
Ethan Oulsnam became the first Greyhound soccer player to sign with an NCAA Division I program when he announced in a ceremony last Thursday that he will attend Georgia Southern University.
“I’m very excited and honored to go with a Division I program,” he said. “My family and all the coaches I have had have been a big part of this. I’m so excited to get the chance to play at the next level, but as (Georgia Southern coach John Murphy) told me, now the real work starts.”
A midfielder, Oulsnam has already lettered three years at Jones County and has one season remaining.
He has 19 goals and 17 assists in his three varsity seasons. He was the team’s rookie of the year as a freshman and won the Hustling Hound and Silver Boot awards as a sophomore and junior. He was also first team all-region as a sophomore and junior, and he is beginning his second season as a team captain.
