Former POW to speak at Gray UMC Sunday

A former POW in the Vietnam War who rose to the rank of Brigadier General after his release will be sharing his story at Gray United Methodist Church this Sunday. 

Retired USAF Brigadier General James Sehorn will speak at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. July 2 to share how his faith and love of country helped him endure his time as a prisoner of war for more than five years in the Hoa Lo Prison, also known as the Hanoi Hilton. 

Sehorn was commissioned through the Air Force ROTC program June 2, 1963. He was flying combat missions in Southeast Asia when he was forced to eject over North Vietnam Dec. 14, 1967.
