Robert “Grady” Beasley

JONES COUNTY:  Robert “Grady” Beasley, 70, of Ashland Way, died Thursday, April 14, 2016, at a local veteran’s home.  The family greeted friends Monday, April 18, from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m., at Bridges Funeral Home in Gray.  Services followed at 4:00 p.m., in the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary Thomas officiating.  Interment was at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Gray.

Mr. Beasley was born Jan. 17, 1946, in Baxley, and had lived in Jones County for the past 38 years.  He was the son of the late Robert N. Beasley Jr. and Ruby Joyce Lawrence Beasley.  Mr. Beasley honorably served his country with the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam and later was a co-owner of Beasley’s Body Shop with his father.  He was an avid fisherman and was a member of the 26 Bass Masters of Central Georgia, as well as the Macon Motor Boat Club.  Mr. Beasley attended Elam Baptist Church.

Mr. Beasley is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda Beasley; children, Greg, Jeff (Nikki), Chad (Molly) and Mandy; and by his five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Elam Baptist Church, 203 Elam Church Road, Gray, GA 31032.
