Robert Wallace Watson

MACON:  Robert Wallace Watson, 80, of Warpath Road, died Monday, May 30, 2016, at his residence.  The family greeted friends from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 3, at Immanuel Baptist Church.  Funeral services followed at 11:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary, with the Rev. Richard Bobo officiating.  Interment followed at 1:00 p.m., at Dublin Memorial Gardens, Dublin.

Mr. Watson was born April 8, 1936, in Montrose, and had lived most of his life in Macon.  He was the son of the late Halley Myers Watson and Mattie Lou Davis Watson Miller.  Mr. Watson was employed by Central of Georgia Railway before retiring from Robins Air Force Base as an electrician.  He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ira L. Miller, and a grandson, Duke Vaughn.

Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Kay Watson; children and spouses, Cathy Baggett (Gary), Diane Landers and Alan Watson; stepchildren, Jimmy Vaughn (Angie) and Roy Vaughn (Diane); sister, Sarah Heath (Bobby); brother, Albin Watson (Barbara); nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
