Verizon armed robbers plead guilty, sentenced

The defendants charged in the armed robbery of Gray’s Verizon store in July of 2016 are on their way to prison after entering guilty pleas in Jones County Superior Court. 

Rashaad Terrell Hall entered his guilty plea April 20 and received 20 years each for the charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault and 10 years for the charge of false imprisonment. The first two counts are to run concurrently but consecutively to count three for a total of 30 years with the first 10 years to be served in confinement. The remainder of the sentence may be served on probation.

Hall was arrested with Donavin Kentrall Sands and Jeremy Arkell Sands for the July 3, 2016, armed robbery of Gray’s Verizon store. 

Senior Assistant District Attorney Dawn Baskin told the court the defendant was indicted on the charges Oct. 13, 2016.
