“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord,” (Romans 6:23).
Salvation is a free gift from God. It can’t be bought. It can’t be earned, It can’t be stolen. No one can be religious enough to acquireit.Itissimplyafreegift offered to us and all we have to do is call on Jesus to receive it.
Sin on the other hand produces wages; earnings we acquire from our sinful actions and thoughts. The ultimate wage is death in a place called Hell--eternal separation from God and all that is good. In fact, the Bible tells us that we actually “treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God” (Romans 2:5). The longer we live unsaved, the more wrath we store up for ourselves.
But Jesus can erase those wages of sin by His precious blood. That wrath that you have stored up will be washed away because Jesus has already endured that wrath while on the cross. He knew the wages of sin. He has paid it all for us.
People have a choice, wages of sin or free gift of salvation. And these are the only choices. Let Jesus wipe your account clean and sign your name in His Book of Life (Revelation 21:27). Reach out through prayer and accept this wonderful gift if you haven‘t already. Be saved today.
