Beach Bash planned Saturday in Gray

Main Street Gray is making sure Jones County students have one last romp in the sun, sand and water this Saturday.

The third annual Beach Bash will take place Aug. 5 from 7-10 p.m. under the trees at the corner of Highview and West Clinton streets, which is located directly across the highway from the W.E. Knox Center in Gray. The location is the same as last year to show the movie for the City Lights and Hallow Nights event.

The Beach Bash is sponsored by Main Street Gray as a fun way for students to end the summer and welcome back the school year.

This year, 100 tons of sand will be brought in to make the beach, an addition to the 60 tons for the previous years, with wading pools to provide the water. Beach balls and assorted beach toys will complete the seashore ambiance.

Tingen Ice will be on-site to sell refreshments.
