What I am thankful for is my mom because she feeds me, loves me, and cares for me. I am also thankful for my grandma (Naynay) because she’s kind, sweet, and she gives me money. The last thing I am thankful for is my dad because we do things together like going to the skate park, playing chess, and going rock climbing. – Gia Backus

My grandfather’s name is Willie Lee Harris, and he has been battling dementia for a long time, almost as long as I remember. My grandfather lives in a nursing home for veterans. The first day I met her, she immediately fell in love. God picked me for her to have me as a child. Before I met her, she could not get pregnant, she went to foster classes and tried her hardest to get a child. It never happened until I came along. I am thankful for my older sister because she is my best friend and so easy to talk to, I’m so happy that me and her get along and don’t completely hate each other.
