JCFD Annual BBQ
Jones County Fire Department Station 8 on Gray Highway is having its annual Open House and Barbecue fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It will be prepared by Station 8’s Cooking Crew and include their own local “Snow’s Famous Brunswick Stew.” Plates are $10.00 including drinks. Once again, the Southern Pride Cloggers will be performing at 12:00 noon. The community is welcome.

Sonrise Gospel Opry

Jones County Farm Bureau will hold their County Annual Meeting Oct. 3, at 6:00 p.m. at 180 Eatonton Hwy., Gray.
CASA volunteer training
Ocmulgee Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) will hold a new volunteer training beginning Wednesday, October 11, and running every Monday and Wednesday until November 8, from 1-4 pm. CASA volunteers serve as the voice for children and advocate for the best interests of children in foster care. The location will be determined as the date gets closer.
