Clarke St., Milledgeville More info: Georgia College & State University will host a live reading of the Declaration of Independence on the steps of Georgia’s Old Governor’s Mansion. Guests are invited to gather in this historic setting to hear the nation’s founding document read aloud. This public reading is held in recognition of America250 and brings together individuals for an evening of reflection and connection in a place closely tied to Georgia’s early state history.

What: USA 250 Drone Show When: Program starts at 9 p.m. Where: Putnam County Recreation Department, 140 Recreation Rd., Eatonton More Info: To mark the nation’s 250th birthday, Putnam County is sponsoring a spectacular 15-minute, 500-drone light show highlighting several milestones of American history. Prayers, remarks, and musical selections will kick-off the program shortly after 7 p.m., with light show when dark. Snacks available for purchase. Some bleacher seating available, or bring your lawn chairs and food/beverages in a cooler. Parking is limited, so arrive early to secure a spot. This event is free, with all welcome and encouraged to attend.
