Sonrise Gospel Opry

Saturday, June 24, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., 3378 Gray Hwy. Free Gospel music on the pavilion next to the Thrift Store. Featuring Soul’s Desire. Bring a chair and come celebrate Jesus with us.

Ol’ Time Fourth

Saturday, July 1, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Jarrell Plantation Historic Site, Juliette. Celebrate Fourth of July weekend at Jarrell Plantation with live bluegrass music, old time carnival games, relays, and races and see the farm come to life with farm skill demos like spinning, weaving, wood-stove cooking and blacksmithing. Stay for a slice of watermelon and a reading of the Declaration of Independence at noon. Admission: $3.50-$9.
