Fifth Annual Statewide/ Worldwide Bible Reading Marathon

Friday, July 14, at 7:14 p.m. in the front lawn of the Court House. In case of inclement weather, the location will be at Gray Baptist Church chapel. Starting at 6:30, will be a time of praise and worship before reading begins.

WIC annual Farmers Market

July 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Jones County Health Department, 273 Railroad St., Gray. Fresh fruits and vegetables to WIC participants. Supplies are limited, first come, first serve basis so arrive early. Must bring WIC ID card.

Outdoor/Indoor Summer Send-Off - Junior Ranger Weekend

Saturday, July 22-23, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Jarrell Plantation Historic Site Juliette, GA Before the kids head back to school, bring the family out for one more weekend of summer fun. This combination outdoor/ indoor program will take you outdoors for a tour of the historic houses with hands on activities and an intro to bird identification. Then we will head indoors to cool off at the visitor center for crafts, games, and activities. Outdoor portion with bird ID walk and historic house tours starts at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m. Crafts and games run 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Admission Required: $7-$4.50, children 5 and under $1.50. 478 986-5172.
