New Haven Church Women’s Conference
Friday, April 26, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 27, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at New Haven Church, 893 New Haven Church Road, Gordon. Tickets are $20 for the weekend. Childcare provided Friday and Saturday. Brunch and free gifts for all attendees will be provided for the Saturday event.

Farm Heritage Day
The Jarrell farm comes to life with an antique tractor display and farm skill demonstrations like blacksmithing, woodstove cooking, spinning and weaving.
Visitors can also take a guided tour of the original plantation house and walk the grounds which includes over 20 original farm buildings, two farmhouses, farm animals, a garden, and a mill complex. JCHS Unified Special Olympics Bingo Fundraiser
The Jones County Highs School Unified Special Olympics will host a Bingo fundraiser at the JCHS cafeteria May 10, 6 p.m.
(dinner) and 7 p.m. (Bingo). A spaghetti dinner will be served by Woodmen Life. Dinner includes spaghetti, salad, bread, tea/lemonade, and a dessert for $10 per plate. Bingo costs are $20 – 6 game sheet, $10 extra pack, $2 one extra card, $5 three extra cards and $1 daubers. There will be a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and door prizes. All proceeds will benefit the Jones County Special Olympics Program.

CASA volunteer training
Ocmulgee Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) will hold new volunteer training on May 13, 15, 20, 22 and 28 from 1-4 pm each day at the Putnam Administration Building, 117 Putnam Drive in Eatonton.
