The Jones County Senior Center recently hosted a Senior Golden Gala that included seven senior centers from around Middle Georgia.
Jones County Senior Center Director Sharon Turner said the April 3 event was a thank you to the other senior centers who had previously hosted Jones County seniors in events in their counties.
She said centers from Warner Robins, Crawford County, Bibb County, Monroe County, Peach County, Perry and Twiggs County came to the Golden Gala.
The director said Jones County seniors held several fundraisers last year and this year to fund the event.
The gala included a meal catered by SDR chef from Atlanta and a skit presented by Jones County seniors. Music was provided by local DJ Milton Appling with special music by Saxophonist Shaquille Wright.
