–George Sheffield “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” (Jn 11:25) Arnold Schwarzenegger has told reporters that he is upset about death, ticked off about it. He is not comfortable with death and considers it to be “such a waste”. He even went to UCLA to ask the experts if there was anything to reverse aging and he was told no. Yet he says, “My plan is to live forever”. The Terminator doesn’t want to be terminated.
At the same time he believes Heaven and Hell are fantasies, just fairytales, and anyone who tells you otherwise is a “liar”. As far as Arnold is concerned, when you die you’re just “6 feet under”.
But God tells us different and He is no liar. There is a Heaven to gain and a Hell to avoid. There is eternal life and eternal death. And the difference between those two is Jesus. Believe on Jesus and it’s eternal life. Reject Jesus and it’s eternal death. And this death does not mean cessation of being; it means eternal judgment in Hell. Heaven is eternal blessings from God. Hell is eternal wrath from God.
Arnold wants to live forever but science and weightlifting won’t be able to help him. However, Jesus can. He is in the forever life business.
