The Jones County Kiwanis Club made a donation of $750 to the Jones County 4-H Club. This donation represents one of the regular quarterly payments that the Kiwanis Club makes each year to children’s organizations in the county. Lindsey Jackson representing the Cooperative Extension program and 4-H Club accepted the gift from Kiwanians, Bill Goodman and Tom Jones, and Kiwanis President, Darrell Partee. 2024 Gray Christmas Parade

The Dec. 12 Gray Christmas Parade had over 100 entries, including more than 90 floats that were enjoyed by the thousands who lined West Clinton Street.Awards were given for the Best Use of Lights and Best Use of Theme in the community and commercial division.

A Card of Thanks

Members of the Les Dames Magnifique wish to express sincere gratitude to the Jones County community for donating to the Soles for Souls. 241 pairs of new or slightly used shoes were donated to be sent to needy persons abroad. They were immediately boxed up and mailed off.

The history of Plentitude Baptist Church was celebrated recently with the placement of a historic marker that pays homage to its founders.The marker was unveiled by Jones County History and Heritage Nov. 24, and it is the 11th marker placed by the organization.
