Book Sale
Jones County Friends of the Library will have their monthly book sale Saturday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Jones County Pre-K Building E. All proceeds go to the Jones County Library.
Powerful Tools for Caregivers
The Middle Georgia Regional Commission will host an online series beginning May 13 through June 17 on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.
These programs give caregivers tools to avoid burnout and ensure they are taking important steps to take care of their own well-being. Benefits include peer support, connecting with others, fewer feelings of isolation, and developing coping strategies.

2025 Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program
The Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program will be held Thursday, June 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Jones County Senior Center, 126 Senior Center Way. The program provides eligible Middle Georgia seniors with fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers’ markets.
Benefits are issued on a firstcome, first-served basis until all are distributed. Pre-registration is encouraged. Registration forms are available at the Jones County Senior Center. Ellis Chapel Baptist Church Trip
The Ellis Chapel Baptist Church in Haddock, invites the public to join in a trip to Noah’s Ark, Williamstown, KY on Sept. 19-21. The price is $255.00 and includes bus ride (C&H Bus lines), tickets to the Ark and a meal. Money is due by Aug. 24. Annual Juneteenth Celebration
Les Dames Magnifiques is sponsoring their Annual Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 21 from 4-7 p.m. at Carol’s Park in Gray. Come out and enjoy an afternoon of delicious food from local food trucks, live entertainment, games and fun for all ages as we celebrate freedom, culture, and community. Open to the public and all are welcome. Honor the past, embrace the future and enjoy the present.
Independence Day Extravaganza
The Jones County/Gray Chamber of Commerce’s Independence Day Extravaganza will be June 26, 6 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. at Morris Bank Recreation Complex. Don’t miss out on a night of fun, music, fireworks, food trucks and kid’s activities.
