Col. Allen Carr Memorial 5K

Col. Allen Carr Memorial 5K will be held Saturday, Nov. 9 at W. E. Knox Civic Center, 161 W. Clinton Street. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Race starts at 9:00 a.m. Early registration $25, late registration $30.

Salem AME Church, 115 Holloman Road, will have its Family and Friends Day Celebration on Sunday, Oct.

20, at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Troy Daniel from Hunt’s Chapel AME Church will be the guest speaker.

Mount Salem Missionary Baptist Church

The Mount Salem Missionary Baptist Church, 159 Cleveland Street, Gray, invite the community to their Annual Fall Revival October 28 -30, at 7:00 p.m. Guest revivalist will be Pastor R.J. Whatley, pastor of St. Paul Baptist in Forsyth, Union Hill Baptist in Forsyth, Pleasant Grove Baptist in Bolingbrook, and Macedonia Baptist in Culloden.

Lions Club Gun Raffle

Not-So-Scary Grayberry Spectacular will be Oct. 26, from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m., in downtown Gray.

Fields of Faith

Fields of Faith will be held Nov. 6, at the Jones County High School football stadium. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Event starts at 6:30 p.m. Free to public.

24th Annual Veterans Day Celebration

Saturday, Nov. 9, at the W.

E. Knox Center, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Cruise in car show, food vendors, Honor Flight information, music, entertainment, Field of Flags.

Each veteran attending will receive a gift. Veterans Program at 11:00 a.m. American Legion Drawings at 1:00 p.m.

Candlelight Vigil

Wednesday, Oct. 30, 6:00 p.m. at Carol’s Park, 110 S. Jefferson Street. The community is invited to honor victims of domestic violence and their families to take a stand against abuse in the community for Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Sponsored by Crisis Line and Safe House of Central Georgia, Gray-Jones Chamber and Wesley Audio. If it rains, this event will be canceled.

CASA Training

Ocmulgee Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) will hold new volunteer training on Mondays and Wednesdays in November, from 1-4 pm, in Eatonton, GA. CASA volunteers serve as the voice for children in foster care and advocate for their best interest in court. For more information, please call 478-452-9170.
