For the first time in more than a decade, the Lady Greyhounds are region tennis champions.
Jones County headed to McDonough's Richard Craig Park earlier this week and claimed three wins, following up a regular-season title with victories of 4-1 against Stockbridge, 3-1 against Ola and, 3-1 in the championship match against Union Grove.
With the win, the Lady Hounds host a first-round state tournament match with a time and opponent to be announced.
The Greyhounds rallied on the final day to finish third, also advancing to the state tournament.
