Questions and Answers for the candidates in the contested races in the May 21 Primary Election were featured the last two weeks in the News in order for voters to find out more about them.
This week features the four candidates for Jones County Commission Districts 2 and 3. District 2 Incumbent John Wood is challenged by Micah Harley, and District 3 Incumbent Wendy Vaughn is challenged by Dan Howard. All four candidates are running as Republicans, which means the race for who will represent the districts will be determined with the May 21 Primary Election.
A Jones County Candidates Forum is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. April 23 at Butler Hall to allow voters to meet and personally submit questions for the candidates.
Advanced voting for the May 21 Primary Election will take place April 29 through May 17 at the Jones County Elections Office, located in the Government Center, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The last day to register to vote in the May 21 election is April 22.
