Thomas Wayne Roberts is our local Veteran of the Week. He enlisted in the Navy in March 1967 and completed basic training at Great Lakes Michigan. His deployments included flight deck crew on the CVS 38 Shangri-La and the munitions department aboard the CVA Franklin D Roosevelt. He also spent time in Guantanamo Cuba and Pax River Maryland. He was discharged December 1970.
