Pilot Club Members Beth Coon, Cindy Jones, Kathy Jackson and Fay Mathews attended the 2026 Pilot International Annual Convention and Leadership Conference July 15-18 in Oklahoma City. The opening ceremony was Wednesday night, and after a welcome from International President Beverly Hager, the Presentation of Flags Ceremony began, during which each attending country was recognized. Later in the evening, club members enjoyed the Oklahoma Fancy Dancers in native attire as they shared native dances and their meanings.

During the conference, members were treated to several inspiring speakers. Pilot Awards were presented on Saturday after the President’s Breakfast Bound to Bloom.

The Jones County club was won first place in the Pick Me Up Project Award (clubs with 41+ in membership). The convention concluded on Saturday evening following the Installation Dinner and the Installation Service, where Lisa Palmquist became the new PI President for 2026-27.

An Aug. 13 update from the leadership stated the Jones County club also received first place for the Outstanding Community Service Award that was overlooked at the convention along with the first-place award for the Pick Me Up Project.
