Real Life

“yet was not the net broken”--Jn 21:11 In Jn C21, Jesus stood on the shore of the Sea of Galilee and shouted to His disciples on the lake to cast their “net on the right side of the ship.” When they did, the net was suddenly filled and “they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.”

The net was so heavy with fish that the seven experienced fishermen could not pull it into the boat. “Yet was not the net broken.”

Not one fish was lost from the net.

These disciples became full time fishers of men.

They would cast their nets “in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8). Multitudes of people would come to Christ, and the nets of the disciples would fill but never break. Not one fish, not one soul, slipped out of any of their nets. Jesus in His prayer to the Father in Jn 17:12, said those whom You have given Me I have kept, and none of them is lost. If you are born again, you are secure in your faith. You are safe in God’s salvation because His net does not break.
