Suicide prevention grant extended another five years

The final meeting of the Jones County Suicide Prevention Coalition for 2024 had good news for the initiative.The first good news at the Dec. 10 meeting was there had not been a death by suicide since the October meeting.

ATLANTA - Georgia energy regulators have signed off on a 3.5% rate increase for customers of Georgia Power.Members of the state Public Service Commission (PSC) unanimously approved the increase Tuesday, which will raise average residential customer bills by $5.48 per month.
