Danny Dubose is the local Veteran of the Week. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1975-1984. The submariner said that the 130 men onboard become close-knit like family. He earned a dolphin insignia pin, which takes about a year because it requires the knowledge of every system onboard. His longest tour underwater was 88 days. “Seeing the world opened my eyes. It makes you proud to be an American.”
