A family violence dispute resulted in multiple charges involving a firearm and the arrest of two of the three individuals involved.
Aaron Scott Keough, 30, was arrested July 2 and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, possession methamphetamine, two counts of terroristic threats and acts, reckless conduct, possession of firearm by a convicted felon or first offender and possession of a firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies.
Traci Juanita Reynolds, 39, also arrested July 2, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and violation of her probation.
A report of the arrests by Deputy Kevin Harden stated he was dispatched to a mobile home park on Joycliff Road about an altercation. The complainant told him he was visiting Reynolds’ residence when Keough arrived, started beating on the back door and forced his way into the residence.
The complainant said Keough threatened to kill them both. He said he and Reynolds closed the bedroom door when they saw the silver pistol in Keough’s hand. The complainant said Reynolds and Keough argued through the door, and a gun shot was heard in the hallway.
He said Keough left when Reynolds said he was calling 911. They did not call 911, however, because Reynolds would be in trouble because of her probation.
Keough came back, and the complainant slipped out of the door and called 911.
When more officers arrived at the scene, Harden said they approached the residence and knocked but got no response. He said Investigator Barron Hall and Sgt. Travis Walker found the back door open and entered the mobile home.
Harden said Hall and Jackson announced themselves. He said Keough and Reynolds were in the bedroom sitting on the bed. He said Reynolds did not appear to be in fear of Keough, and they were both taken into custody.
Harden said a bullet hole was found in the upper wall beside the bedroom door while they were looking for the gun.
While checking the bedroom, Harden said Hall knocked over the headboard of the bed and found a hiding area behind it. He said the space inside the wall contained the silver gun described by the complainant, a glass pipe and methamphetamine.
Harden said pictures were taken of the evidence and more meth was found in the residence. The deputy said he secured the residence and took all the evidence to be logged.
