Nancy Faye Jackson, 80, Gray, GA, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel. The family greeted friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Interment followed at High View Cemetery. Reverend Scott McMillen officiated.
Daughter of the late Carlos and Lucille Waters Hawthorne, Mrs. Jackson was a bus driver for Jones County Schools for 32 years. She enjoyed gardening and canning what she grew. Faye loved the beach, craft-fairs, and was an avid dog lover.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joseph Emmitt Jackson, Sr.; children, Lisa Craine (James) and Joey Jackson (Jamie); grandchildren, Misty Johnson (John), Jaime Stackpole (Ben), Jessica Purser (Carl), Christopher Jackson, Heather Jackson, and Tiffany Jackson; great-grandchildren, Hagen, Jacob, Maggie, Kaleigh, Megan, and Ella; and numerous nieces and May 20, 2023
nephews.
