David Clinton Smith was found guilty on all counts by a Jones County jury Oct. 30. He received three consecutive life sentences plus 50 years to serve for charges of aggravated child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes and sexual exploitation of children.
The jury wasted no time in returning to the courtroom with their guilty verdict after sitting through hours of testimony by three of Smith's victims. A complete story about the trial will be in next week's edition of The Jones County News.
