Having a personal relationship with Christ

While enjoying the accompanying article, the reader can see that Ronnie Hinson says he often times has received his directions from his Lord and Savior, whom he accepted into his life June 23, 1990.

Hinson was asked to explain his communication with his Savior, and his response is given here.

“I agree there’s people that don’t believe in God, nor the Trinity: Father / Son / Holy Spirit.

Another group is religious, such as specific denominations: Baptist, Methodist, Church of God, Catholic.

But, personally I feel the most important thing we can do is develop a personal relationship with Christ. Religion puts Christ in a box of doctrines: Dos and Don’ts. Falling in love with the Lord, you begin to read about Him, and HE becomes real. You trust HIM and believe the Bible.

Jesus says: I’m the way, the truth and the light. No man comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ. Conversations with the Lord / prayers move us closer to HIM. It may not be a loud clear voice, but we can hear deep down in our spirit. HE talks, leads and guides us through our journey.
