Jones County didn't have to look far it all to land its new head boys basketball coach. Not even outside its own gymnasium, as a matter of fact.
Dylan Dupree, a 2011 JCHS graduate, was announced as the school's new head coach on Tuesday night.
Dupree has been part of some of the greatest successes of both the Greyhounds and Lady Greyhounds in recent years, being on staff under Buck Harris in 2023 when the Greyhounds advanced to the final four. He was also on the Lady Greyhounds' staff last year when they went undefeated on the way to a regular season and region tournament title.
Dupree will also bring college playing experience. After being a conference champion at Chipola Junior College, he was a two-time Gulf South Conference Champion at West Georgia.
