Powerful Tools for Caregivers
The Middle Georgia Regional Commission will host an online series beginning May 13 through June 17 on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. These programs give caregivers tools to avoid burnout and ensure they are taking important steps to take care of their own well-being.
Benefits include peer support, connecting with others, fewer feelings of isolation, and developing coping strategies.
The series is free for participants. Cost paid by sponsors.

Gray Garden Club
Display your favorite day lilies June 7 at the W. E. Knox Civic Center. Flowers must be received from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., judging at 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., open to public from 12 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Specimens must be picked up by 4 p.m. or they will be disposed of. The specimen must be owned at least three months; limit 24-inch scape.
Categories: named, unnamed, large, small, miniature, double, unusual form or spider.

2025 Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program
The Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program will be held Thursday, June 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Jones County Senior Center, 126 Senior Center Way. The program provides eligible Middle Georgia seniors with fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers’ markets. Benefits are issued on a first-come, first-served basis until all are distributed.
Pre-registration is encouraged.

Annual Juneteenth Celebration
Les Dames Magnifiques is sponsoring their Annual Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 21 from 4-7 p.m. at Carol’s Park in Gray. Come out and enjoy an afternoon of delicious food from local food trucks, live entertainment, games and fun for all ages as we celebrate freedom, culture, and community. Open to the public and all are welcome. Honor the past, embrace the future and enjoy the present.
