Ellis Chapel Baptist Church Trip

The Ellis Chapel Baptist Church in Haddock, invites the public to join in a trip to Noah’s Ark, Williamstown, KY on Sept. 19-21. The price is $255.00 and includes bus ride (C&H Bus lines), tickets to the Ark and a meal. Money is due by Aug. 24. Back-to-School Bash

Jones County Transportation Open House

The Jones County Transportation Department will host an open house Wednesday, July 16, at Gray Station Middle School Gym from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Meet your child’s bus driver, ask questions and register your child to ride the bus for the 2025-26 school year.

Book Sale

Jones County Friends of the Library will have their monthly book sale Saturday, July 12, at the Jones County Pre-K, Building E. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds go to the Jones County Library.

Jones County Hunter Education Class

The GA Department of Natural Resources will be conducting a free required hunter safety class Saturday, Aug. 16, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Jones County Fire Station 5 in Wayside. All supplies are provided, and no cost required.

Sign up for the class on the DNR website https://georgiawildlife. com/hunting/huntereducation and click on FIND AND SIGN UP for the class under FREE COURSES. Bring something to drink, lunch not provided but options available at a small cost.
