Donna Lynn Kitchens, 78, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025. A memorial service was held at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. The family greeted friends one hour prior to the service.
Donna was born in Macon on March 31, 1947, to the late Edwin and Kathleen Broach. She retired from Robins Air Force Base after many years.
The outdoors had always been a significant part of Donna’s life, a love instilled in her since childhood. Her fondest memories included hunting and fishing with her parents. In her later years she enjoyed working in her yard.
Donna will be lovingly remembered by her life partner, Thomas Nicholson; children, Kerri Lynn Kitchens, Sam Kitchens (Kari), and Carol Nesmith; sisters, Judy Mickler (Jimmy) and Penny Heath (Larry); and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her great-grandchild, Samantha.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
