Harry Bobbie Anderson, age 88, of Gray, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 30, 2025, surrounded by the love and presence of his family. Born June 22, 1937, in Hartwell, Georgia, Harry lived a life defined by devotion, to God, to his country, and to his family.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Harry carried with him the discipline, courage, and patriotic spirit that marked his service throughout the remainder of his life. He was a faithful member of Haddock Baptist Church, a brother of Serenity Lodge #430 F&AM, and a proud member of the NRA. Intelligent and determined, yet deeply supportive and loving, Harry lived with an adventurous spirit that inspired those who knew him.
Harry had many passions that reflected his zest for life, he was an avid beekeeper, a gun collector, a loyal football fan, and a man who delighted in traveling, dining out, and lending a hand to anyone in need. A passionate Republican and Donald Trump supporter, he was extremely patriotic and outspoken in his beliefs, never hesitant to stand firm for what he believed was right. Hard-working, generous, and deeply rooted in love for his family, Harry will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the countless lives he touched.
He is survived by his darling daughter, Kimberly Harrison (John); his beloved grandchildren, SGT Harrison, Wesley (Brianna), Bridgette Harrison, and Daniel Harrison; his nieces, Melissa Anderson and Kay McDonald; and his faithful canine companion, Zeus Harrison. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom Mack and Bessie Anderson; his loving wife, Carol Anderson; his son, Bobby Dale Anderson; and his brother, Benjamin Sherral Anderson (Brenda). Services to honor Harry’s life was held at Gray Memorial Chapel and Crematory, 4378 Gray Highway, Gray, Georgia. Family and friends were invited for visitation on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life followed on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Ricky Feagin and Rudy Mangham.
Interment took place at Elam Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Wesley Harrison, Neal Darden, Jordan Kirksey, Clay Harrison, Danny Nunez, and Scott Harrison.
