James “Jamie” Leroy Oden, 50, of Haddock passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, at home.
Visitation was held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, with a memorial service that followed at 2:00 p.m. at Gray Memorial Chapel.

James was born Jan.19, 1972, in Olton, Texas and had lived in Jones County and Macon since 1985.
James was preceded in death by his mother, Mary “Janie” Shultz Oden.
James was a passionate Texas Long Horn, Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR fan. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, family and friends.
James is survived by his daughters: Harleigh Oden of Macon and Haley (Austin) Abbott of San Antonio, Texas; fiancé: Joanne Dees of Haddock; stepson: Levi Parson; father: Jerry Oden; five grandchildren; sister: Melissa Ferris (Brandon); uncle: John Shultz (Erica)

The family is accepting donations to defray funeral cost which can be made to and in care of Gray Memorial Chapel.
